Problem of the Week!

I will try to post, every Monday, (starting in November) a new problem of the week. If you have a possible solution, please bring it to me (in person). Please don’t leave solutions to the problems on the blog, as this will help, or confuse, other students trying to figure out the problem for themselves.

Problem of the week:

Monday, December 12, 2011

Stacy, Alex, and Meredith play golf, chess and soccer, but necessarily in that order.  Can you use the following information to figure out which play which?

  • Stacy gave the soccer player a ride to the last game
  • The chess player said that Stacy drives too fast
  • Meredith went to the prom with the chess player’s brother.

Good luck!
