I think I should let all the parents know, possibly before your children tell you when they get home, that we didn’t go skating to day. There are a number of reasons why we didn’t go. The first reason we cancelled skating was lack of parent volunteers between Ms. Knelson’s class and ours. It is my understanding that a couple of parents showed up at the last minute, and for that I thank you, and on behalf of both classes I appologise for dragging you out to school, and then not going skating. I truly hope it wasn’t too much of an inconvenience.
The second, and more prevelent reason we didn’t go skating was because of the behaviour iof many of our students in class today with Mr. Thompson. Many discrespectful behaviours were seen from many of the kids. Because of this, all the teacher’s involved decided to cancel skating.
I hope we will not have to do this again. Better behaviour, and notes from parents will enable us to skate the remaining three times in the new year.

As a parent I want to thank you for ‘keeping us in the loop’. Also, thanks for posting all the skating dates for the rest of the year so hopefully we can help you out as volunteers. This is important for the kids and I’m hoping it can continue. It’s not something available to many kids in other schools and we’re very fortunate.
